Artist Statement
My paintings serve as my voice, allowing me to communicate without uttering a single word. Within each brushstroke, I create a visual story of life’s journey focusing heavily on nostalgia and/or matters of the heart.
As an artist, my mission is twofold. Firstly, I create art that provides a freeing and healing outlet for myself. Secondly, I aim to evoke emotions and foster connections among viewers and collectors, inspiring them to delve into their own depths and find resonance in my creations.
From a young age, I recognized the power of my artistic gift. Selling my first piece of art at the age of 8, and having my artwork showcased at Atlanta's Fort McPherson Army Base during Elementary School instilled in me a sense of purpose with art. While I did not pursue a formal art education, my love for art continued to blossom through leisure exploration. However, it was in 2020 that my artistic journey took a turn, as I embraced the realization that art was not simply a hobby but a calling meant to be shared publicly with art enthusiasts and collectors.
My body of work primarily revolves around abstract and pop art styles. While these styles and mediums form the core of my artistic expression, I remain committed to personal growth by exploring a diverse range of techniques and mediums, constantly challenging myself to expand my artistic horizons.
Through my art, I invite viewers to join me on this emotive journey of art. Each piece is created to tell a story, evoke memories, and ignite a sense of connection. It is my sincere hope that as you engage with my artwork, you too will discover the power of personal expression and the joy of connecting with your nostalgia and matters of the heart.
